The international standard ISO 15189 is particularly developed to implement the quality management system of the medical laboratories. This standard specifies requirements to establish, monitor, maintain, and as well as to continually improve the quality and competency of the laboratories. Also, the ISO 15189 certification standard supports the accreditation bodies and regulating authorities to evaluate the medical laboratories’ performance.
